1. Stir-fry in a zip


Start by gathering your ingredients and three Ziploc® brand freezer bags, then follow these simple steps.

Wash and chop vegetables into bite-sized pieces and put in a Ziploc® brand gallon freezer bag.

Combine the ingredients for the sauce in a Ziploc® brand gallon freezer bag and shake to mix.

Chop meat, fish or tofu into bite-sized chunks and transfer to another Ziploc® brand quart freezer bag, add half the sauce to marinate and shake to mix.

Add both sealed Ziploc® brand quart freezer bags with sauce and marinating protein to the bag with vegetables. Label your meal with its contents and the date, seal and store in the freezer. Thaw in the refrigerator before cooking.
To cook, place a pan over high heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Brown the protein and set aside. Stir fry the vegetables, then add sauce and browned protein and simmer until cooked through. Serve with rice, noodles or other cooked grain.

In a Ziploc® brand freezer bag, combine ground beef and the seasoning of your choice – from simple salt and pepper to a more gourmet recipe.

Seal the bag, pressing out all the air, and mix thoroughly, kneading with your hands.

Lay the sealed bag on a flat surface and press the mixture into an even layer. Make score marks by pressing a skewer or chopstick into the bag in a grid pattern, creating nine squares.

Freeze, then break off one or more patties along the score marks for cooking and keep the rest in the freezer for later.
